EU VIEW 1.0 DISCLAIMER ---------- This program is not associated with Paradox Entertainment in any way. I (the maker of this program) do not take any responsibility for any side effects this program might have on your game or other software. Use it at your own risk. ADVICE ------ If you have successfully used the IGCConfig.exe or Patch.exe that came with the Improved Grand Campaign v1.8, you should have no trouble using this program. However, if you have any problems executing EUView (or any of the above programs) download the latest Java Virtual Machine from Microsoft (http://www.microsoft.com/java/vm/dl_vm40.htm). INSTALLATION ------------ 1) Unzip the files in the .ZIP file to any directory. 2) Run the included application (EUView.exe). 3) When EUView starts, you will be presented with an Open File dialog box. Go to the directory that Europa Universalis is installed in and double-click the "Europa.exe" file. *Note: This enables EUView to be used with multiple installations of EU, which is helpful for people who use both the standard scenarios and the IGC. FEATURES -------- - Allows for easier viewing of data from Saved Game files. - Presents data in an easy to read table format. - Quicky view national technology levels, territory size (number of cities/colonies/trade posts), religion, stability, and badboy ratings. - 'Drill down' capability to view individual nation data such as: cities/colonies (included in one table), trade posts, armies, navies, and leaders. - Quick comparison of reigning monarchs. Displays all monarch statistics in one table. Also includes beginning of reign and end (starting year and ending year). - Compatible with all language versions of EU. All data is loaded from EU files, so language specific spellings and names will appear properly. However, application text (menus, column headers, etc) are currently in English only. FUTURE IMPROVEMENTS ------------------- - Actual titles for leaders. Currently, only the numerical rank is shown. - Sorting of individual columns in the tables. - Graphs of relative military strengths (including army (infantry, cavalry, artillery) and navy (warships, galleys, and transports). - Multi-lingual support in the interface. *If* I can find help in implementing menus/column heads/etc in different languages, I will eventually release versions for the different languages that EU is available in.
